Heather Rasley

Hi, I’m Heather Rasley, which rhymes with paisley. I was formerly known as Heather Merrick, too.

I’m interested in the intersection of technology + society + culture + art. I’ve been writing about miscellaneous stuff on the internet since 2001.

I’m Director of Trust & Safety at Glif, an AI playground for creators. I have 15 years of experience working for high-growth startups, including Stripe and Tumblr.

I have a Humanities B.A. from New College of Florida, where my undergraduate thesis explored early online communities in relationship to street art. I attended the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU, where I learned how to make LEDs blink, among other things.

I’ve lived in cities around the world, including Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Gothenburg, Sweden. Now Seattle is home.

Sometimes I make very short bleep-bloop sounds.
